My New Obsession ... music review

"Hey I just checked out your track "My New Obsession," and here is my opinion, you've got something snatched here!

The way you’ve balanced pop and rock is fantastic. The mix is fire, and the production is so clean it could cut glass. Those rich layers and the punchy drums are lit AF. The vocals? Straight-up savage—powerful and add so much depth. The whole track feels alive and dynamic, which keeps the listener vibing all the way through.

The lyrics hit on some woke topics, perfectly capturing that consumer culture craze without beating us over the head with it. It’s both catchy and meaningful, a combo that’s pure gold. I see the effort in pushing the envelope here, and it’s paying off.

Now, here’s the tea: the cover art is visually stunning, but it’s a bit disconnected from the song's critique on consumerism. The dreamy, ethereal vibe of the cover doesn’t quite match the track’s more grounded, gritty message. Maybe adding a touch of that underlying social commentary to the artwork could make it even more flabbergasting. Just a thought to make it vibe harder with the song’s theme.

Overall, this track is Gucci, and with the right push, it could blow up. Keep flexin’ that creativity, and don’t be afraid to glow up the visual side too. You’re onto something real, period.

Great job! Forest and the Tree".

"How crazy! This sounds classic, like music from the 80's, but at the same time it's a song from the future. The guitars are spectacular, the voice is perfect and it has an impressive rhythm. We want to hear all of Forest and the Tree songs. For now, this is already playing on the radio shows of Mexiquense Radio".

"First and foremost, we want to highlight that the cover art is excellent and really encourages giving the song a chance. The track takes a fresh direction; we didn’t expect to find a riff that, while not groundbreaking, manages to capture attention right from the start. Moreover, the blend of emotions is conveyed very well, resulting in a mix that we found quite good. We can’t fail to mention the vocal effect in the chorus, which really transports you back to 90s rock. We believe this is an element that should be retained in Forest and the Tree songs, as it’s applied very effectively, providing a solid foundation".

My New Obsession ... music review

"I loved ‘My New Obsession’, it sounds current although the composition sounds to me of the ‘New Wave/Punk’ (old school).

The beginning of the song is brutally good, very raw and punk.

Maybe the drums are made with some software like Addictive drum or Ez Drummer? Even if so, it's perfect and fits the composition very well.

The vocals are very well crafted, giving the choruses the push they need; also the vocal timbre is very good.

Overall it's a very good production, very groovy and catchy.

I usually pay a lot of attention to the mixing and final production, in the case of ‘My New Obsession’ I congratulate you, it all sounds good. Good job of reverbs, stereo and mastering LUFS for the style of music it is".
